So no politician has ever won an election by promising lower taxes, less regulation, smaller government, freer markets?

Hasn’t that been the dominant political culture internationally since the end of the Cold War?

If, as you claim, climate scientists are influenced by politics, why wouldn’t they be influenced to present information in ways that understate the need for government action, rather than overstate it?
