If we really want to know what is happening in current conflicts, we need to study them the way serious historians study the past — by looking at available information from as many sides as possible.

I think there is a big picture to be found. Based on past experience, I don't think the big picture is always captured, in realtime, by mainstream news media in that small part of the world we call the West.
