“We cannot yet reach a definitive stance on the matter”, as you’ve said in your second last paragraph. The study which found phosphine in the clouds of Venus passed peer review and was published in the journal Nature Astronomy. The reanalysis you’ve cited was submitted to the journal Astronomy and Astrophysics few days ago and has not yet passed peer review. Isn’t it too early in the scientific discussion to say things like “We cannot look to [Venus] for signs of life”?
