Ukraine's Nazis have attacked communities in the countries east (Donbass region) and south (Odessa region) — communities which are prodominantly Russian-speaking and pro-Russian. Russia's alliance with these communities is comparable to India's alliance with separatists in the region that was once East Pakistan — the region that became Bangladesh in the Bangladesh war of 1971.
