They might, but don't hold your breath waiting for them... Here's why they might — if we can detect planets of other stars and think about going there, presumably others can detect Earth and think about coming here. BUT... in the four billion year history of our planet, it seems that no-one else tried to colonise it, or that if they did, the colony was a failure. I say this because DNA evidence shows that all Earth life is part of one family tree. There are a number of possible reasons why Earth has been left alone — perhaps there are no other intelligent life forms near enough, or perhaps they don't have technology to get here, or perhaps our planet is not attractive to them... Or perhaps we're living in a sort of cosmic zoo, and Earth has been sign-posted as "do not touch". Whatever the reason, if it's been that way for 4 billion years, what are the odds that things will change any time soon?
