Interesting bit of history, but I’m puzzled by your statement that Soyuz 10 and Soyuz 11, “were the only two manned flights of the Soyuz program to be attempted.”

Wikipedia’s page “Soyuz (spacecraft)” mentions that Soyuz craft have made more than 140 flights, and have been heavily used in the ISS program.
