Scientists live on government grant money to study supposed problems. Downplaying the problems would threaten their livelihoods.

Actually American scientists have been losing their livelihoods because they refused to downplay the problems — Maria Caffrey, George Luber, Lewis Ziska, Rod Schoonover...

Government in America has doubled in size (in inflation-adjusted dollars) since 1989. Taxes are higher. Regulation has exploded: There were 150,000 federal regulatory staff back then, today there are almost 300,000.

A lot of things in America have increased in size since 1989, including the population and the GNP…
